Manthila is a passionate filmmaker and cinema enthusiast with several years of experience in the ad film industry. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Communication from the University of Plymouth, UK, and gained foundational academic and practical knowledge in the film and TV industry through the NYSCO video national diploma in television program production. His exceptional management skills make him an excellent AD, while his creative insights add significant value to any project. Despite being at the beginning of his creative journey, he has already received numerous recognitions from film festivals as a director and has working experience with renowned directors.

Commercial Film Assistant Director
As an Assistant Director, I work closely with Directors to maximize the quality of the creative product and with Producers to minimize costs. Known for my friendly and timely approach, I am committed to meeting deadlines and ensuring that all aspects of production run smoothly. I value industry standards and professionalism and am always eager to learn from senior ADs and am enthusiastic about working as a 2nd AD on film projects to gain valuable experience.
My Role in the Production Process
Pre-production
I collaborate with the director, DOP, and art director during location recces, providing detailed feedback. I help find the right talent, assist in storyboarding and shot planning, and prepare the PPM deck with the producer and director. My main duties include developing schedules, creating daily call sheets, and supporting the production manager to organize logistics.
Production
I manage daily operations on set, coordinate between departments, and ensure the production stays on schedule and within budget. As a friendly and supportive AD, I work closely with the crew to achieve the best creative outcomes for the directors.
Post-production
I assist with the editing process, ensuring all elements are in place for final delivery. I collaborate closely with editors to gather feedback from the director and help troubleshoot any issues to bring the project to completion.
Independent Film Director
Starting off as an independent film director, Manthila made his debut in 2023 while still a university student. His first short film garnered significant acclaim, winning 7 awards including Best Film and Best Direction in the Intra University category. In addition to his acclaimed short film, he has also directed music videos and digital commercials for various brands. Manthila is eager to expand his directing skills by collaborating with renowned directors and undertaking more independent projects in the future.
